The entire property
is knit together with classic elegance, blending authentic country French
architectural components with unobtrusive state-of-the-art technology. The
1.25-acre lot is arguably the best location in Frisco, surrounded by a creek on
two sides and a 1-acre private park overlooking the community lake. The entire
property is filled with large trees, dramatic landscape lighting, and extensive
handcrafted stone and wrought iron wrapped around a 43,000 gallon pool system
that includes three waterfalls, two streams, a spa, a pebble-tech beach entry
and a negative edge. The one-of-a-kind house was designed by renowned Fusch-Serold architects with interior designs by Diane Johnson and exudes quiet
distinguished elegance with uncompromising quality.
The home is designed to provide the homeowner with extensive comfort and
attention to detail in every aspect. Centuries-old European antiques are
incorporated into the building, while natural stone and handcrafted wood
compliment every room. The front entry includes a stone foot-bridge leading to
the massive wood and iron front doors. A large working office has its own
separate entrance from the front porch.
Once inside the front door, you immediately notice the warm elegance of the
home. Hand-scraped wood floors lead to the 300 year-old doors opening to the
formal library on your right. The circular wood and iron stairs lead to the
upper foyer. The formal dining room is located to your left, and the main hall
leads you straight ahead into the central living area. The spacious guest suite
is located close to the front of the home and provides a gorgeous view of the
grounds with a private covered porch leading to the pool area. The formal powder
bath incorporates an antique French chest and mirror with hand-made iron wall
sconces.
The central portion of the downstairs includes the climate-controlled wine room,
bar and sitting area overlooking the creek while the breakfast nook, kitchen and
butler's pantry face the motor court. The elegant wrought-iron gate under the
porte cochere limits access to the motor court. The upstairs includes two large
suites, each with private access to extensive floored attic rooms, an additional
powder bath, a large high-tech game/media room and an additional air conditioned
room that can be used as an exercise room or large storage room. The main attic
includes several hundred square feet of floored space that can be used for
storage or work area. The original architectural design includes a portion of
the attic over the porte cochere and single-car garage that can be converted to
add a separate apartment/quarters area that would add approximately 230 square
feet of air-conditioned space with its own private entrance from the motor court
(the framing, electrical, and plumbing are already in place). An additional
expansion is designed that would add two more bedrooms (in addition to the
quarters area), two full baths and a theatre room. This expansion would be
located in the large attic space in the back of the house above the laundry
room, master study, and closet area. Only a very small portion of the existing
roofline would be modified, and this work could be completed within a couple of
months at the request of the buyer.
The large family room provides the boundary between the common living areas and
the master suite. It has open beams in the cathedral ceiling and overlooks the
pool and creek area. The fireplace in the family room has a 50" opening with a
stone mantle rising over 12' above the floor. The three-car garage enters into a
hallway off the family room.
The entire back portion of the home incorporates the master suite and pet area.
The expansive laundry/dog room includes a full-size bath tub built-in under a
hinged countertop and a tile-lined indoor kennel with a doggy-door leading to
the dog yard. Hand-made wrought iron gates separate the kennel and pet areas
from the rest of the house. A separate room off the master foyer leads to the
spa area and can be used as an exercise room, craft room or additional study.
The master bedroom includes a private sitting area overlooking the trees and
creek. The elegant stone fireplace is surrounded by hand-made wall sconces. A
breakfast bar leads into the master bath. Extensive travertine slabs and inlaid
tile with wrought-iron sconces and chandeliers highlight the master bath area. A
large window above the whirlpool tub includes a remote-controlled shade that
automatically lowers to provide privacy when desired.
The look and feel of the home is authentic French country, but a high-tech
infrastructure provides the underlying link to modern conveniences. Every room
(even including most closets and the pool area) has telephone, internet and
video access. A central telephone system provides intercom and access to the
five incoming phone lines and also allows communication with the front door and
the ability to open or close the motor-court gate. The surveillance cameras are
tied into the closed circuit video distribution system. The game room and family
include large (59" and 64") Pioneer Elite high definition built in televisions.
High definition satellite and cable are run throughout the house, and most rooms
are wired for whole-house audio. The game room includes a computerized system to
control the lights, drapes and entertainment equipment.
Custom detailing is found in every corner of the home, creating a magnificent,
yet comfortable, masterpiece. Every wall and floor is insulated with
sound-proofing fire-retardant insulation and the home is protected by a fire
sprinkler system. A steel-lined safe room is located under the front stairs for
added security. The entire structure is overlain by a lightning protection
system, and the entire electrical system is surge protected. The air purifiers
included in the four HVAC units are the same type used in famous museums such as
the Louvre in Paris.

Helicopter View |
This view shows the property from above. The property lines are highlighted. Note that there is an area beyond the creek of park and lake of approximately 1.5 acres that adjoins the actual property. Much of this area can only be accessed by crossing the creek or directly from this property. This provides considerable privacy in the back yard. |

Main Floor Layout |
The entry of the home provides two main entrance doors: one to the main entry and a separate door to the study. The study area is a true working office, with a copier closet and plenty of wrap-around cabinetry. The library is shared between the study and the rest of the house. When the antique doors to the house are closed, the study acts as part of the office suite. When the double doors between the library and the study are closed, the library serves the main home. The front of the home includes the entry and dining room. The main hall focuses attention from the front entry through the barrel vaulted ceiling to the large stone fireplace in the family room. The guest suite is located toward the front of the home, overlooking the pool and creek. The master suite comprises the rear portion of the home, including a large utility room with dog kennel and grooming area. |

|
|
|
|
Second Floor Layout |
The second floor includes two large suites, each with floored attic areas. The game/media room and upstairs powder are located in the center of the home overlooking the pool and lake. An air-conditioned storage or exercise room is also located upstairs. The entire attic area over the three car garage is floored and designed for true working or storage space. |
