This is an incredible new luxury home with attached 59’x36’ hangar and two car garage located in Air Park Dallas, just seconds from the North Dallas Tollway in Plano. Most Air Park homes around the US are located in remote areas and serve as second homes. This home is right in the middle of the North Dallas metropolis and is designed to be your primary home where you can land and be in the middle of the Dallas scene within minutes. Because this house is so energy efficient and is not located in the city limits (no city property taxes), your monthly costs of owning this home will be remarkably low.

The first floor has 3029 SFAC with three bedrooms suites, 3 ½ baths, a large family room, gourmet kitchen and dining area. The finishes are all consistent with the finest luxury homes in Dallas, including premium granite or marble on all countertops, solid oak cabinetry and trim, hand-scraped wood floors, extensive hand-crafted trim and wall textures, and exquisite fixtures throughout. The exterior walls are made of insulated concrete forms, providing exceptional strength and unmatched energy efficiency. The heating and air conditioning is accomplished through a geothermal well system, and the entire roofline is filled with sprayed foam insulation. The upstairs is unfinished, with over 1000 SF of additional space that can be easily finished into an additional bedroom, bath, kitchen, and media room.

The first floor incorporates a beautiful formal entry with handscraped wood floors and a tall circular ceiling with subtle light coves that point upward to highlight the old-world chandelier. A stained wood-trimmed study/bedroom with a full bath and walk-in closet lies to the left of the iron and glass front door. The hallway to the right leads to a large guest suite, the formal powder bath, entrance to the upstairs, and the two-car garage. The large open family room incorporates extensive wood trim with a 42" woodburning Isokern fireplace and travertine mantle/surround. There is also a custom entertainment center to house a big-screen television and Dolby surround sound. The kitchen has a large island with furniture-style cabinetry, and all the countertops are hand-selected granite. The family room and breakfast nook lead to the covered back patio. The laundry room includes granite countertops and a built-in ironing board. The huge master suite has cathedral ceilings in the sleeping room, and the bath features intricate handwork in the natural stone tile and marble tops.

The hangar includes all the necessities you require and the niceties you desire. The ceilings are 16' high, and the Wilson bi-fold door is 42' wide with a 14' 2" clearance. There are two 14' tall garage doors that allow a full-sized RV to be parked inside, and there are water/sewer/electrical hookups in the floor that allow the RV to be fully functional inside the hangar. The Wilson bi-fold door also has a man-door for easy access. The attached two-car garage is oversized and includes an additional storage closet. The walls in the engineered hangar are 8" thick steel reinforced concrete with massive steel I-Beams for door surrounds.  Of course, there is plenty of 220v/110v power available, and there is even a space for future inclusion of an air-conditioning system in the hangar.

The classic styling of the home overlays a thoroughly high-tech construction with the newest energy efficient and computerized infrastructure.  An Energy Recovery Ventilator continually brings in fresh air from the outside, and a HEPA filter system ensures the best possible indoor air quality. The geothermal infrustructure includes two additional wells in the underground loop system to allow for inexpensive future additions. The home is wired for the future with options for home automation, security cameras and state-of-the-art audio/video distribution. Every electrical outlet in the home is an access point for wired and wireless internet.

This home is appointed with all the fine amenities you would expect from a Martineck-Johnson home: special wood floors, custom-made sconces and chandeliers, artistic trim work throughout, state-of-the-art electronic technology, easy-living functionality, and of course the extreme attention to detail for which Martineck-Johnson have become renown.

Front View (Still Under Construction)

The front of the home is a mixture of fieldstone with inset caststone trim and cementaceous stucco. The landscaping was not complete at the time this photo was taken.

View from Driveway (Unfinished Construction)

The driveway enters from the right (east side). There is a two-car garage on the left and the hangar is to the right.

1st Floor Plan

The first floor includes a large open family room, dining area, kitchen, study, guest suite, laundry room, formal powder bath, and huge master suite. The hangar area is 59' x 36', and there is an additional two-car garage. A covered porch lines the back of the home.

Future Second Floor Plan

The upstairs area is currently underlain with floor trusses, plumbing, electrical, and the roof line itself is insulated for easy completion of the second floor if desired. The current plan calls for one large bedroom, bath, kitchen area, and media room.

Plot Plan

This lot is one of the largest lots in Air Park Dallas due to the trapezoidal shape. It is the single most southeast lot in the development and directly connects to the main taxiway.

View from Taxiway

The east side of the home incorporates the large hangar with a Wilson bi-fold door. You can taxi all the way to the hangar without ever leaving the asphalt.

Back Yard Area (Still Under Construction)

The back yard was designed for maximum utilization of the lot space, and there is also an additional 80' taxiway easement behind the house.

Hangar Door Frames

The infrastructure of the hangar construction includes massive steel and concrete.

Insulated Concrete Forms

The exterior walls of the home are made of insulated concrete forms. This system includes 1.5" of EPS foam on the outsides and 5" of steel-reinforced concrete in the middle. This photo shows the forms before filling with concrete.

Back Porch ICF Walls

This shows the walls as they were constructed.

Pumping the Concrete

A large concrete pump truck was required to correctly position the concrete inside the forms.

ICF Walls Under Construction

The walls were completed in stages, or "lifts." The bottom 4' section was completed before the higher layers were added.

Filling the ICF Blocks

The concrete was pumped to each section. Note the extensive steel rebar throughout.

Finishing the ICF Under Windows

The top layer of the ICF walls was finished smooth for incorporation of windows and roof line.

This is taken from the attic window. Note the proximity of the nearby shopping mall and businesses.

Attic/Future Media Room

This is taken in the attic from the location of the potential media room. Note the sprayed foam roofline and walls. This photo was taken on a summer day when the outside temperature was almost 100 degrees. Even with no air conditioning turned on in the home, the inside attic temperature was comfortable.

Attic Roof Line

You easily can seen the potential for future use of the existing attic space.

Attic Window

This attic area is designed to be a future bedroom with a large window.
