Front Elevation

Front walls are a Tuscan style random flagstone. All the eaves are exposed stained cedar rafters. The stucco finish on the sides and back is crushed limestone. The roof is Monier Lifetile.

Front entry courtyard

The front entry is surrounded by a wrought-iron gate with large circular patterned concrete steps leading up to a wrought-iron and vine-covered arbor above Tuscan columns and decorative iron gates. A four-tiered Italian fountain circulates water at the center of the courtyard. The risers of the front steps are hidden by grasses.

Travertine tile floor. Stair treads are slabs of travertine. Iron Balusters with wood handrail. Double row of light coves above the large chandelier.

Kitchen

The entire south wall is lined with rustic brick around the cooking area and window-seat. The cabinets are all solid wood and have self-adjusting operating hardware. The counter-tops around the perimeter are polished 3-cm Santa Ceclila granite with an O’Gee edge. The faucet is a Moen wrought-iron Showhome edition. The sink is a double stainless steel. The large island is topped with a brushed Zimbabwe black 3-cm granite. The island corners are decorative furniture posts, and antique door panels are inset in the sides of the island. All kitchen appliances are Kitchenaid. The refrigerator is a 48” built-in with wood panel fronts. The 48” professional gas cooktop is inset into the granite and has front knobs. The vent hood over the cooktop is covered in Venetian plaster with hand-painted frescoes. The backsplash is tumbled travertine with wrought-iron inset knobs. The dishwasher has hidden controls. There are three decorative groin vaults with individual chandeliers to match the large entry chandelier. The arch lines of each groin vault form the ceiling contour and window arches of the adjoining living room.

Family Room

The arched passageway from the entry is lined with rustic brick. Tall (14’) cast-stone fireplace mantle with a wood-burning isokern fireplace. The ceiling is tongue-and-groove cedar planks between the large wood timbers. The upper windows, both on the outside wall and the entry area wall, are inset with decorative wrought iron. The walls are faux painted, and the large wood windows overlook the pool area. The wood floors are imported hand-cut Ipe from South America. The wood is so hard that it is not scraped or stained. Antique study door

The antique door is circa-1800’s imported from a European villa. It was not repainted in order to preserve its authentic history.

Study

The wood floors are imported hand-cut Ipe from South America. The wood is so hard that it is not scraped or stained. The color is natural and the wood has only been sealed with a light oil. The walls and ceiling are faux painted and the wood trim is all stained red oak.

Master Bath

Separate dressing, bathing and living areas.Breakfast/coffee bar. Wired for surround-sound stereo. Double French doors leading to pool area. Digital computerized Pool controls. Master bath cabinetry is furniture style with travertine stone floors and Light Emperador marble slab 2-cm countertops with O’Gee edge. Master shower has a thermostatically controlled Moen shower spa with four massaging jets and a rain shower head and an additional hand-held shower. Master tub is an oversized Toto whirlpool air-jet spa. Master closet has a dressing area with built-in chest of drawers, a three-way dressing mirror, ample shoe shelves, heavy steel hanging rods, and storage all the way to the 10’ ceiling height.

Dining Room

Two walls have large arched windows looking out to the entry courtyard and the front garden area. The chandelier and sconces have real wax candles under the decorative electric lights. The walls and ceiling are a special faux finish. The floor is travertine stone tiles.

Game Room

Stained oak trim, bar area with brushed Golden Leaf 3-cm granite countertops with a demi-bullnose edge and under-counter refrigerator. Under-mount stainless sink. Large wood arched casement windows with special oak window trim treatment.

Theatre

The theatre is designed to emulate a circa-1900 styled-showplace with 2005 technology. Two-level seating with granite bar-top (same as game) on the upper level. 100” high-definition THX-certified front-projection screen and built-in high-performance theatre speakers and sound system. Walls are wainscot with wood paneling on bottom and leather-look special faux painting on top. Three sconces and discrete cove lights illuminate the walls and ceiling.

Bedroom #3

This room is decorated in a Scottish-Castle feel with arched wood windows, a large built-in desk area and passage to the front balcony. The walls are faux painted, and the private bath is completed with stone tiles and a New Venetian Gold 2-cm granite countertop

The arched opening between the kitchen and butlery is lined with rustic brick. The cabinetry is furniture-style oak with glass doors and decorative feet.

Wine Room

Decorative wrought iron door opens to step-down alcove under the front stairs. Hand-made wine racking system, double zone wine refrigerator with dual digital temperature controls. Walls and ceiling are faux stone. Serving bar opens to family room. Cabinet has granite top to match kitchen.

Covered Patio with Fireplace

The large covered patio has a large stone fireplace, cedar beams and planks in the ceiling, a ceiling fan, decorative lighting and built-in stereo speakers.
